Off-Grid Life: Reclaiming Freedom Through Simplicity

If you’ve been following along, you’ve caught little glimpses of this journeys unfolding ~ the early steps in turning an off grid cabin into a place that truly feels like home. The work is far from finished, but even in the between, this space holds so much heart.

The land we steward is rooted in community, a village imagined by people who believed in another way of living. Many have come and gone, each leaving something behind, both seen and felt. We followed the feeling that something here was meant for us too, waiting to be discovered in its own time. Maybe it’s part of our soul’s work, a key we were meant to find to carry us forward? Maybe it’s knowledge, or maybe a blueprint?

Day by day, we’re making space for reality and dreams. We’re here to live in the mess and the beauty of becoming, to let the labor, and the work of our hands shape us just as much as we shape it.

Home is not a place, it’s a feeling. A wild, free space where the boundaries of possibility are constantly rewritten. It’s found in the laughter of children, in the everyday work, in the courage to sit with the discomfort of growth. It’s about awakening to new ideas, shifting the way we see the world, and what we choose to create within it. It is what we craft with our hands and hearts. Shaped by the love we pour into it and the freedom we allow it to embody.

We’re here moving gently with the spirit of this land, hands and hearts open, to take its lessons with gratitude. Not waiting for things to be finished before embracing them. Finding the beauty in what is, and in all that is yet to be.
